magazine ad
This ad is advertising for buffalo wild wings bar and grill, and is using the visual play of a beer in the center of the table with hands surrounding it, grabbing for it. The words "jump ball" are near the center along with several other beers and wings on the table. The lifestyle this ad promotes is an active, sporty lifestyle were friends go out to watch the game and have a few drinks and food. The ad is geared toward an audience of sports fans and mid-young friends rather than families or young kids. The ad suggests that if i go to buffalo wild wings, i would have a fun time with friends with good wings and chilled beer. It touches on pathos because sometimes you just feel a night to relax and hang with the guys, or a group of friends chilled.

story
When you wake up to the sound of the TV blasting a football game, you know what day it is; College game day. Slowly i wake up from a long night out to here my roommates already getting into the festivities of what i consider my favorite day of the week. As i walk into the living room i see a college football game being played on the TV, friends wearing all the FSU gear they can, and the first of many batches of drinks being distributed. Game day, its simply an occasion to celebrate every week. As kickoff approaches within a few hours, we rush to leave our place for the tailgate to get as much fun in as we can before the game. The tailgate serves as a place for all our friends to congregate and have a great time in the great weather outside before we all walk to the stadium together Its been a long day of drinking and games, and finally its close to tip off. We begin to make the oh so forgetful journey to Doak, to gather with even more people to root on our school. After we pass security, we make our necessary concession stop and on the way to our seats. The atmosphere at the game was nothing less then unbelievable. Watching all the on field occasions such as the spear throw, cheerleaders, band, and all the necessary Seminole traditions makes me realize how great of a school this is. The Seminoles blew out the team, and this lead to more celebrations after the game and through the night. It was a good first game day for me. I can defiantly get used to this.

Blogger reflection
I mainly focused on the information that students that didn't attend class would need to know because it would be beneficial to them in their abscence. Everything we did in class, i tried to document on the blog. I included 2 images in the blog, one of the class working to show it was a typical day and another of the rubric chart that the student would need to see if they weren't in class. As the class blogger, my perspective changed of the classroom. I realized how much the entire class worked together as a group rather individually working at our computers.

Monday
We began class talking about Ms. Lang's unfortunate events to her car this past weekend. If you were waiting to recieve some work back from her, talk to her because her backpack was stolen. She then went over the requirements for the essay due on Wednesday, such as the works cited page. Next up, we completed the mid semester evaluation located on her blog site (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dHUzaU9IcVdwRU9ndTBybHFDR0Y1dHc6MQ#gid=0). Once the evaluations were finished, we moved onto constructing our rubric. The steps: Review the assignment sheet, list 10 things to be graded, then rank them in order of importance. Then we got into groups and combined our information into the chart to show what each group thought were the 10 most important things to be graded on. We ended class with a final chart of the rubric. We did not reach the discussion of our HW (on writing, pg. 542), so it will be discussed next class.

The peer review today was pretty constructive. I realized i oils mention more about how essential football and thi program is for Fsu. He helped me identify my strongspots in my essay and the parts i should keep or strengthen. Also i am going to fix some sentence structure bugs as well as make the transitions smoother. Overall i believe this session was beneficial for my essay construction.

The highlights and the underlines help to see where my strengths of my points are and where i sort of fall off topic. With this review, i could refocus my essay easier on points that i know are on topic. Also, my next draft will eliminate the weaker sentences and points and there will be greater support for the points that were stressed by the highlight. The essay is easier to break up and re edit because i now know the sections and parts that i need to reconstruct without taking out the better parts.

Starry Starry Night
Don Mclean's song "starry starry night" has a strong connection with Vincent Van Gogh's painting "starry night" through the continuing theme of darkness seen in both pieces of art. Don Mclean emphasizes the concepts of insanity, and the darkness of the world seen through both artists' perspectives. The lurid color of the painting illustrates the agony in Vincent Van Gogh's life as it is parallel to the lyrics in Don Mclean's song. "But I could have told you, Vincent, the world was never meant for one as beautiful as you," are the lyrics of Starry Starry Night, that display the emotion within Van Gogh's painting. The connection they have is the physical darkness of the painting with implores that Vince's soul was also in a dark state.

I will analyze the key points of seminole boosters and correlate how the pictures on the site support their program. I will approach this by reflecting on the themes of every image and see how it supports the purpose of the program. I chose this topic because it had a mission statement and is a very large program at FSU. My peer asked the purpose of seminole boosters, and and what type of photos would prompt seminole boosters.
